Hey luvbugs! I told you as part of my annual self action plan is that I will travel out of the country every three months. I missed July mark but I made up for it last month when I traveled across the pond. I took a day trip to Paris from my week long London trip. The train ride there took about two hours but it was so peaceful to see the tall grass swaying and reacting to God’s gentle whispers.
As we entered the train depot we passed through the slums and boy it was dirty!
The area of Paris was not what we saw on the television! However, not to lose focus on the graffiti on the wall, I jumped on a bus to go and take in the beautiful architecture. While sitting on the bus I saw scooters, motorcycles, and bikes driving as if traffic laws were things of the future. Horns blowing and ashes flickering were a common sight! Once making it to the “tourist” area I stopped by the Louvre Museum only to be greeted with a line that was super long! Being that time was scheduled, I just had to wave at the people and walk right on by them! I wanted to enjoy everything and I opted not to take a cab to go anywhere. I walked everywhere and boy was it hot! Paris is a big melting pot of all flavors. Blacks, whites, Asians, Africans, etc were all spotted on the streets!
As I walked to the Eiffel tower I stumbled upon the makeshift memorial for Princess Diana. It was over the tunnel in which her life was taken by paparazzi years ago.
After making it to the Eiffel Tower, I took an hour cruise down the Sienne River and enjoyed sound of birds and the sight of people sunbathing.
