Scream 4 is literally the best since the original, all of the fans of the original trilogy will be more than excited to see the latest installment in one of the highest grossing horror movie film series ever. Scream 4 picks up 10 years after the events in Scream 3, and we find Sydney(Neve Campbell), who has written a book her story of survival, returning to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. Dewey(David Arquette) who is now the sheriff of Woodsboro has married Gale Weathers(Courtney Cox), with Gale Weathers having a bit of writer’s block on her new book. Just when the sleepy town of Woodsboro is quiet and calm and moving past the tenth anniversary of the “Woodsboro Massacre” until the murders of two young girls rocks the tranquility of the small town. Dewey, Gale, and Sydney have to find out who is copying these killings before they murder them or Sydney’s cousin Jill(Emma Roberts) and her friends.
Now LuvBugs I am not going to tell you who the killer is but I will tell you this, you will be shocked. They incorporated all of the best parts from all 3 movies, and Wes Craven has done a great job of making the movie feel like the best Scream since the original. I loved every moment of this thrill ride and I hope that all of my LuvBugs go see it. All fans of the horror genre will enjoy this movie. Making fun of horror movie remakes and other horror movie classic rules. This movie is by far the most culturally relevant since the first film and makes a lot of the old fans happy while drawing in all of the new ones. Lead by the talented original cast Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courtney Cox, followed by the “new blood” in the series Emma Roberts, Hayden Panitiere, Adam Brody, and Anthony Anderson. With special guest cameos by Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Lucy Hale, and Shenae Grimes who are hilarious in the opening scene.
My overall grade of the movie is: A+
