Access Hollywood’s had the chance to sit down with Nicki at her Pink Friday fragance launch at Macy’s Herald Square in New York where she got the deets on the alleged drama with her fellow American Idol judge.
“This season will be like you’ve never seen it before and I have to honestly say that,” she said of the FOX reality competition debuting this winter.
First and foremost, Nicki said she has the utmost respect for her fellow judge. “Mariah’s a legend and I just want to say that… I’m sitting next to woman who’ve I looked up to since I can remember enjoying music. My mother and I bonded to Mariah and I told her that, before even ‘American Idol,’” she explained. “It’s obvious that we both have strong personalities, but ultimately, there’s respect there and I think if nothing else, it’ll make for really great TV.”
