Embattled cyclist Lance Armstrong, just had his seven Tour De France titles stripped away from him. Verdict was announced by the president of the International Cycling Union, Pat McQuaid. The news comes just three days after the Lance made an appearance at his Charity organization for cancer.
Lance is accused of using steroids and running the largest doping program in cycling history. Not only did they vote to relieve Armstrong of all his titles, but they also voted to ban the troubled athlete from the sport for life.
Earlier this year, it was made known that the U.S Anti-Doping Agency was going to start an investigation as to whether Lance has been doping while competing. During the investigation which involved Lance Armstrong’s ex-wife Cheryl Crow and several of Lance’s team mates (some of whom took steroids and some didn’t) came forth with emails and other bits of evidence. Evidence, that would eventually shed light on Armstrong’s direct involvement in the doping scandal.
