In an interview with Australia’s “Sunday Night” television program,Elton John slayed the pop star, referring to her as a “c—” and a “fairground stripper.” Madonna is currently on her “MDNA” tour, where she’s been the target of harsh criticism from critics and fans alike.
“She’s such a nightmare. Her career is over, I can tell you that,” John said. “Her tour is a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c—,” John said. “If Madonna had any common sense, she would have made a record like ‘Ray of Light,’ stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and made great pop records, which she does brilliantly.”
John went on to sing praises to pop artists Katy Perry and Rihanna, while also making a point to say that Madonna has “been terrible to Gaga” in reference to his child’s godmother, Lady Gaga. John, a longtime non stan of Madonna, wrote (after Madonna’s Golden Globe win) that “Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism.”
