Courtney Travels: Headed to Greece

Hey loves! I have been bite by the travel bug. I will be heading to Greece for 8 days! Greece is known for its epic ancient ruins, whitewashed villages, sunny beaches, tasty cuisine and friendly atmosphere. It is no wonder that Greece ranks among Europe’s top travel destinations. Greece is made up of a mountainous mainland and hundreds of islands where each one offers its own share of stunning landscapes, historic sites, nightlife scenes and cultural delights.
I am super excited to see the wonderful sights including the beautiful black sand beaches, and to be emerged into the culture. Instead of staying in swanky hotels and resorts. My hairstylist/friend and I are using Air B&B to rent homes and apartments. It is so much cheaper and it gives us more freedom to enjoy our travels.

The Acropolis of Athens (Ancient Greek: Ἀκρόπολις;[1] Modern Greek: Ακρόπολη Αθηνών) is an ancient citadel located on a high rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.

Santorini s an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast of Greece’s mainland. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago which bears the same name and is the remnant of a volcanic caldera.
Mykonos (/ˈmɪkəˌnɒs/, /ˈmɪkəˌnoʊs/;[1] Greek: Μύκονος [ˈmikonos]) is a Greek island, part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos. The island spans an area of 85.5 square kilometres (33.0 sq mi) and rises to an elevation of 341 metres (1,119 feet) at its highest point. There are 10,134 inhabitants (2011 census) most of whom live in the largest town, Mykonos, which lies on the west coast.

Make sure you check back for my recap.
