Adam Lambert scores No. 1 album for “Trespassing”!

Adam Lambert replaces country singer, Carrie Underwood, for the Number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 Chart. Last week, Carrie Underwood scored her second week at No. 1 when her album “Blown Away” sold more than 120,000 copies. With a 55% drop in album sales, Underwood was easily replaced by her American Idol Alum Adam Lambert who sold a disappointing 77,000 copies in his first week. More after the heartbeat.

People lie numbers don’t! With that being said, Adam has the lowest number of sells to ever secure a spot at No. 1. Because people lie and numbers don’t, Adele also makes the list for having the lowest numbers of sells at No. 1, when her “21” album sold a generous 76,000 copies.

So you wonder whats the difference between Adam and Adele? Well, Adam sold 77,000 copies of Trespassing in his first week, Adele sold 76,000 copies of “21” when it pent its twelfth nonconsecutive week at No. 1!

It should also be noted that this is the first time two American Idol contestants have battled for No.1.
